2016 Millennials Meet Executives: Introducing Janet Wood

Our 3rd speaker for the 2nd Annual Millennials Meet Executives event #2016MME on November 16th is Janet Wood from SAP (@SAP).

Janet Wood and her team are responsible for attracting and developing leaders and employees, encouraging them to achieve personal and professional excellence, which contributes to exceeding SAP’s strategic goals. In short, Janet’s team helps SAP employees be the best they can be, maximizing their contribution to the success of SAP and our customers.

Janet reports to SAP’s Chief Human Resources Officer and she has recently relocated back to Vancouver after two and a half years in Germany. In her former roles, Janet was EVP of Global Strategic Service Partners and EVP of Global Maintenance GTM. She joined SAP from Business Objects in 2008.  Prior to joining Business Objects, Janet was VP of Business Development at Crystal Decisions. She has also held various management positions at IBM.

Aside from her senior management role at SAP, Janet is active in her community. She is a partner in BC Social Venture Partners, a not for profit organization that supports children and families at risk in Vancouver. She has recently joined the Alberta School of Business Advisory Counsel, as well as entrepreneurship@UBC Advisory Board. She mentors several employees at SAP as well, plus some external protégés. She is passionate about helping women succeed and achieve their career objectives.

Janet holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Alberta, Canada.
